For many years, patients and dentists throughout Quakertown and the surrounding communities have trusted this practice for periodontal and implant care.

Today, Dr. Thomas Ulicny and Dr. A. Sidney Lyons are proud to continue caring for patients together.

While the practice enters a new chapter, the goal remains the same: to provide thoughtful, high-quality care, take the time to understand each patient, and work closely with referring dentists to achieve the best possible long-term result.

Our Approach to Care

We believe good specialty care starts with listening.

Every patient is different, and treatment should reflect that. Our goal is to carefully evaluate each situation, explain the available options, and recommend treatment that makes sense for the individual patient.

Whenever possible, we focus on preserving natural teeth and rebuilding periodontal health. When dental implants, bone or soft-tissue grafting, or more advanced treatment are needed, we combine established principles with modern techniques and technology.

We also place a strong emphasis on communication with our referring dentists. The best results often come from everyone involved in a patient’s care working together.

Thomas Ulicny, DDS, MBA

Dr. Thomas Ulicny is a periodontist with advanced training in periodontal therapy, dental implant surgery, and bone and soft-tissue regeneration.

He earned his dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and holds an MBA in Health Systems Management.

Dr. Ulicny’s approach to care emphasizes thoughtful treatment planning, clear communication, and long-term results. He and his family are excited to become part of the area, and he feels fortunate to be working alongside Dr. Lyons while continuing the relationships that have made the practice an important part of the community.

A. Sidney Lyons, DMD

Dr. A. Sidney Lyons has cared for patients in the Quakertown community for many years and has built lasting relationships with generations of patients and local dentists.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Albright College. He went on to complete graduate studies and earn his DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry, followed by specialty training and a Certificate in Periodontics from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lyons has focused on providing comprehensive periodontal and implant care in a personal and thoughtful way. His longstanding relationships with patients and referring dentists remain an important part of the practice.

Dr. Lyons continues to care for patients alongside Dr. Ulicny and remains closely involved in the practice and the community it serves.
